Oliver Watson Society
The Oliver Watson Society, formerly known as the 1892 Society, celebrates alumni, parents, and friends who wish to support the University of Rhode Island through an estate provision, beneficiary designation, or life income gift. There is no minimum requirement. Through your gift, you become part of a distinguished group of more than 400 individuals dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of education at URI.
The Society takes its name from the family farm that provided the foundation for today's University. The acquisition of the property, some 130 years ago, proved to be a visionary act that turned a plot of land into the state's flagship research university. Today's Oliver Watson Society members have a passion for the University and are willing to make commitments today that will benefit URI for many generations to come.
For information on becoming a member of the Oliver Watson Society, please contact Office of Gift Planning at plannedgiving@uri.edu or 401.874.7900.
